Jon Greene – Reno, Nevada (Team Leader-Rotary Club of Reno Sunrise, NV)
Jon has been a member of the Rotary Club of Reno Sunrise since March of 1998. He has served the club as treasurer, secretary, fundraising chair, membership chair and was Club President in 2003-04. Currently he is the webmaster for the Rotary Club of Reno Sunrise, and is an advisor for the Rotaract Club of Reno. Jon has been a member of the Rotary Youth Exchange District Committee since 2002, and has served as the Executive Secretary for District 5190 Rotary Youth Exchange program since 2003.

Patrick Brutsche – (Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Reno Sunrise, NV)
Patrick moved Reno, Nevada to open up the Northern Nevada TEKsystems office. Currently, he is enjoying growing this new TEKsystems office as well as teaching technology courses at Morrison University in Reno. In his spare time, Patrick enjoys tennis and basketball while also serving on the Board of Directors for the Project Management Institute – Northern Nevada Chapter, the Northern Nevada Software Developers Group, and New2u Computers (a Disability Resources company).

Brenda Igler – (Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Grass Valley, CA)
Brenda is a graduate of the nation’s leading school in Ayurvedic Medicine, the California College of Ayurveda (CCA). A dedicated practitioner, Brenda holds certifications as a Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist and as a Pancha Karma Specialist. Her knowledge in herbal medicine spans from the sustainable and organic cultivation of plants on through to the preparation of specialty formulations. As the Director of Herbalism, Coordinator of the Internship Program, and a member of the teaching faculty at the CCA Brenda is kept busy managing the College’s herbal pharmacy, supervising interns, or teaching in the classroom. Brenda also conducts her clinical practice at the College’s Mind-Body Health Center providing private consultations, and body therapies in the Pancha Karma Clinic. Brenda is a compassionate and inspiring practitioner of Ayurvedic Medicine committed to providing service to humanity.

Jennifer Spina – (Sponsored by the Rotary Club of South Lake Tahoe, NV)
Jen teaches Physical Education part-time at a community college. This provides opportunities for her to educate and encourage students to find a sport or activity that gives them pleasure as well as health benefits. She is also the International Education Coordinator at the college where she uses her own travel experiences to arrange study abroad experiences for local students, as well as also to recruit international students to the mountain community college.

Nichole Wasson – (Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Carson City Sunset, NV)
Nichole has a Bachelor in Business Administration from Golden Gate University in San Francisco, CA with honors. She has worked in the insurance industry for the last 7 years and currently works for an insurance agency in Reno, NV. Nichole is also involved with the Builders Association of Western Nevada and serves as the Vice President of the Women’s Council and is a member of the Government Affairs Committee. She also is a member of Toastmasters.

 



R. Jayasankar Team Leader R Jayasankar is a Rotarian of 26 years. He joined Rotary Club of Cochin Midtown as a Charter Member in 1983. He is a Past President, has held the posts of Assistant Governor, Chair for the District Assembly 2009 and is currently the District Director for Water Resources. He has been closely involved with projects pertaining to water and sanitation, housing, and children with special needs. He is a recipient of the most outstanding president award and the Rotary Foundation Service award constituted by the District. A Bachelor in Engineering, Rtn. Jayasankar owns businesses which include manufacture of industrial storage Racks, window blinds, distribution of electronic and food products. He is a sports enthusiast who plays tennis regularly. Currently he is the president of the Ernakulam District tennis association. His spouse Neena runs an antique shop. Their daughter Archana is a HR professional and son Aditya is a student of XII std.

Haresh M. Pandya Team member Haresh M. Pandya, aged 38 years works as Assistant Professor of Physics at Chikkanna Government Arts College, Tiruppur and is a sponsored candidate of Rotary Club of Coimbatore Main. He holds M.Sc., M. Phil. degrees in Physics and is an avid, passionate Physics Teacher possessing 16 years of diversified and versatile student relational experience and a strong desire for continued research, academic and professional development. His research interests include Cosmology & Atmospheric Physics with special reference to Computer Modelling and Simulation. He submitted his Ph.D. Dissertation to Bharathiar University, Coimbatore in January 2010 and is awaiting its defense soon. He is also a trained Integral Yoga Teacher & Vedic Astrologer specializing in the branches of Medical, Financial and Horary Astrology. He has special interest in the study of Indian Mysticism and Philosophy and regularly practices Mantras, Mudras, Meditation and Music. Homoeopathy, playing the Harmonium are his other past-times. He is a strict follower of vegetarianism. He is happily married to Rashmi, a home-maker and they have two lovely daughters Shyamaa, aged 5 and Haripriya, aged 3.

Kannammai Sevugan Kannammai hails from the iconic place of Karaikudi in Tamil Nadu. Studied and settled in Coimbatore for the past 15 years, she's married to businessman Sevugan Kannan. They are blessed with a girl child studying in 4th grade. Sports has always fascinated this district-level volleyball and badminton player. Her leadership qualities was best noticed as President of the Junior Chamber International - Coimbatore Cosmo. She has also organized many events like a blood donation rally covering a 1000 kms in a duration of only 36 hours, a one-month summer camp for rural children, and a 33 hour non-stop training programme. Kannammai has a Master's degree in Computer Applications and a Master of Philosophy in Educational Technology. She's currently doing her research in Educational Technology. She's employed in Accurate Data Converters Private Ltd, a large ISO 9001:2000 BPO serving the US engineering data management services, mortgage & insurance, and litigation companies. She heads the Engineering Production Unit which is on Data Management Services involving cataloging and data enrichment that includes the process of sourcing, cleansing, building, structuring and syndicating content and data to support corporate information infrastructure, catalogs, procurement applications, e-commerce, CRM, and ERP needs. Earlier, she was also the head of an HR department of a company comprising of engineers, managers, and other graduates. On the lighter side, she's also passionate about Bharathanatyam and Carnatic music.

Sunitha Satheesh Sunitha hails from Kerala, a small state of Southern India. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, a Masters and M. Phil. Degree in Sociology and has completed Teacher’s Training (B. Ed.) in English & Social Studies. She is presently the Vice Principal at The Choice School and has been a part of the teaching profession for more than 14 years. She enjoys the teaching profession and it gives her great pleasure to spend time with children. She feels that imparting knowledge, guiding and mentoring the young generation is the best way to reach out to society. She handles sociology for XI & XII standard. As Vice Principal, she also coordinates all cultural and sports programs at school. Sunitha spends most of her time at work or with her family. Her family consists of husband Satheesh (An Engineer by profession, working as a senior manager at BPCL-Oil Refinery) and two children: Namita, an 8th grade student and Gautham, a third grade student. During her leisure time, she catches up with some of her hobbies which include listening to Hindi songs, art work, gardening, traveling and shopping. The main art related works she enjoys doing are artificial flower making, stitching painting on dress materials, making stuffed toys and metal embossing. She has extensively traveled in India and enjoyed its rich and diverse culture. The places she has visited outside the country include Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, China and Hong Kong.

Ashwin Kaliappa Hailing from an agricultural family, Ashwin Kaliappa, 28 years old, is a practicing lawyer in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. He is sponsored by The Rotary Club of Coimbatore Spectrum. He also serves as the Executive Secretary of the Association of British Scholars, Coimbatore Chapter. Holding bachelors’ degree in Political Science and Law and a Masters degree in Law from Scotland, he also partners selling cars and runs a dairy industry. He follows the organic style of farming. He was awarded the most meaningful contributor to his college in the year 2004. He is also an extensive traveler. On the sports front, he represented his school and college in hockey. Also plays shuttle and table tennis. Major part of his weekend is spent with pets and cattle; he is an enthusiastic horse rider and is a vivid homing and high flying pigeon racer. He is married to Shruthi Darshani, a final year engineering student.
