Rtn MPHF G Viswanathan & spouse Rtn PHF Meena Viswanathan

GV was born in Trivandrum on 12th October 1939, to late Sri V Ganapathy (former Technical Member of Kerala State Electricity Board), and Smt Meenakshy Ganapathy.

Did his early education in Munnar and Ernakulam before graduating in Electrical Engineering from BITS Pilani. Later obtained Post graduate diploma in Business Administration from Bombay.

Started the career as a Field Engineer in FACT. Worked there for 16 years and then joined an International, Materials and Maintenance Management Consulting firm by name M/S Howard Finley Consultants in Abu Dhabi UAE. Retired from there as GM Systems in the year 2001. Was the Head of InfoTech division of M/s Muthoot Group till 2007.

Currently, heading a Soft skill Training organization by name ‘Finesse’ at Cochin. During the period of employment, had the opportunity of working in many parts of India and also in countries namely, UAE, Qatar, Malaysia, Nigeria, and Netherlands.

Life member and Past Chairman of the Indian Institute of Materials Management (IIMM) Cochin Branch. IIMM is an All India Body of Professional Materials Managers.

Life Member and Past Chairman of the Computer Society of India (CSI) Cochin Chapter. CSI is an All India Body.

Life Member and Present Chairman of the Institution of Engineers India (IEI), Cochin Local Centre. IEI is the largest body of Professional Engineers in India.

Joined the Rotary Club of Cochin East, in the year 1979. Was declared, as one of the most outstanding Presidents, in the year 1995-1996. Was AG in the year 2001. Was the District Assembly Chairman in the year 2001- 2002.

Became GSA, for 23 clubs in Cochin zone in the year 2005- 2006. Declared, as the Best GSA.of that year. Was the Team Leader of the Group Friendship Exchange Team in 2006 and led a team to RI District 5080 covering North West part of USA and British Columbia in Canada.

Married to Rtn Meena Viswanathan. She was the President of the Rotary Club of Cochin East in the year 2007- 2008. She was also the Principal of Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir Elemakkara, Cochin for 15 years and retired in the year 2006 .Rtn PP PHF Meena is now the District chairman for Promotion of Lady Rotarians

GV and Meena have a daughter Anuradha. She is married to Mr. Hari Narayan and they are now in Amsterdam, Holland. They have two sons Shashank and Mihir. Anuradha was a member of the Rotaract club of Cochin East.
